Ill have to find a peice of 12mm glass locally to replace this today if I can. I was alone and impatient trying to move my tank on the stand just a small amount. Lesson learned.

Now my question is, would it be worth it or a bad idea to remove the whole bottom pane of glass and reinstall it flush to the bottom since my tank is rimless? Would that be a waste or just stick to my original plan and do this?:

I cut foam peices to fill the space and take the load of the bottom.

well it looks like it chipped but hard to tell how far it goes back. Have you tried to fill the tank? it might just be chipped so no structural damage to the actually tank. I had a chip on the corner of my 40 and it holds water great.

I don't know, that's a pretty big chip up there. I'd fill the tank halfway and leave it for a couple of days with no fish in it and see what happens.

its cracked right through that bottom part of the glass. Not just a chip. Im getting quotes around the $100 mark and a 2 week wait to get the peice in. I dont think it would be safe to fill it as is IMO. Really sucks.
Think its ok to set it up with the way I was going to or should I just spend the extra time and remove the whole bottom and reset it flush to the bottom now?

So called a bunch more places and got a nice $50 piece locally and it should get here next wed-thurs. Got the old piece out and cleaned all the silicone off the glass. Cleaned with alcohol.

Leaving the bottom as it. Hope to be filling the tank for next weekend now lol

Holy crap, I couldn't see the size of that chip until the last pic. Good call on replacing it. Looks like you got some skills if you can rebuild it.

i saw the first pick and almost posted "you're screwed"

But seems you have a plan. lol

Post pics when you have the new pane siliconed on. :)

will have it back in on wednesday no problem. Its quite easy guys. The worst part is finding 12mm glass. People ask if its like a 230 gallon with 12 mm glass
