Yesterday this happened. Lesson learned-----don't try to put a center brace into an operating tank. When it fell to the bottom of the tank because the glass adhesive I used didn't cure properly, the front bowed out, cracking from top to bottom. I had to quickly throw everyone into my 55. But, something good came of it..................

Knew it! Looks very nice! I bet your glad it happened now. :grinno:
Yes I am. I don't think I'll ever buy another glass tank off of CL again unless I know it's history. It ended up costing me more in the long run.

Yeah, good call. Too many of them are dried out in garages and weak.

I resealed it before I filled it, so it never leaked. But for some reason the center brace slipped my mind until I filled it. I had bar clamps on it to keep the sides in for a while, which worked fine, but it was ugly and I kept hitting my head on it. So, I tried to put a center brace in, but as you can see, it didn't work out so well.

And now for the waiting part............I think I might put some Tetras in to get it going. Things are a bit hectic in my 55 right now, and I don't want anyone injured.

I've got my old canister going(un-cleaned), used about 30 gal. of water from the old tank, and used a quick start called micro bacter7. I also didn't rinse the sand. Hopefully all of this speeds it up a bit.
