i bought my first arrow a couple weeks ago. i was so excited to finally get one i saw it at the store and told them to bag it up. i noticed when i got it home that the right pectoral fin was broken off almost completely. it still had the "fin" part, but right where the extension starts it was severed. I don't know if i wasn't there at the store and i just wasn't paying attention or if it happened when they were bagging it up (dumb mistake i know). anyway, i call him "lefty" now. I was wondering how quick/if it will grow back and if i should use melafix on it to accelerate the process. im sure if it does grow back it will be deformed, so any advice for me?

It will grow back very fast and not noticeable in short time. It will be normal maybe in a 2 months or so if you feed it right and do regular way changes. The smaller the arowana the faster it will regenerate. It's the older adults that takes longer. Good Luck.
