Broken finn

hi i have a new jag that was just introduced and his finn was stuck in his gills so i followed somones advise and removed it with q-tip and now fins pointed forwards and looks broken what do i do will it heal itself

Is this fish eating? if it is, you have a great chance of it recovering.
if anything is broken, treat the water with pima/melafix to prevent any fungus or bacteria from forming on the wound. as long as its not bullied and you feed it a mixed diet, it should heal up!

This type of injury usually heals on it's own.
