I have a fluval 304 canister filter. I just broke one of the blue clamps/handle that hold the top of the filter to the base. Super glue didnt work. Melting the handle didnt work either. Any ideas?

How did you break it ? Is this common? My suggestion would be to float your bio media in a bag and see if you can order or track down a clamp immediately.

ratchet strap with cardboard to keep from "crushing" the canister..

and order a new one...

theres several places (google it) to order from.. thats just the first one i found with a nice pic

i have this problem of forgetting to shut down the tubing before i open the lid. water starts coming out, because of the suction. That suction must have been a little too much for the snap to handle(with me yanking up on it of course). Thanks for the ideas. That is what i needed.
