have had this fish about 4 months now, and she was fine to begin with. a few days ago i noticed her left eye was swollen, and looked sore. now its missing completely, no wound, just an empty eye socket. she seems happy enough though, she has very short barbels as she lost them about 2 months ago on the rock, but they are starting to grow back. she is house with other corys ( another bronze and 2 peppers) mollies, a bn pleco, platies, silvertip tetras and a load of snails. no idea what happened, but like i said, she seems happy enough, if anything more active than usual. she is 2 inches long.

doesn't look like you're asking a question but that's sad. = ( probably better that it happen when it's young so it grows up use to having one eye

I think it was the BN that did it. It happened to one of my peppered corys. But has only happened once.

ok, thanks guys. as it is only the one eye, that article seems to suggest fighting. i suspect this may be the case as it seems happy enough now, with only one eye, and is swimming around as normal. water params are good, and am not overstocked so will just keep an eye on her and the others.
