I've got a 7" bgk now, with an oscar, some plecos, some loaches, an acara and a silver aro. There is a knife at the lfs, a trade in, and he's a dark brownish color, with no spots. He does have the little flaggy dorsal fin that a clown knife has, but his head is not as pointed as a CK. Is this an african knife? How big will he get? Anyone see any obvious incompatibilities with the other fish in my tank? The tank is a 200gal, and all the occupants are still growing out. I plan to add a tank soon, so if someone needs moving in a month, it won't be a problem. I'd rather not put a fish in there that will cause immediate chaos though.

Becareful with the Knives. BGK and Notopterus Notoperus can be very territorial.

He is an african brown knifefish. will only get around 6-8inches. not very agreesive so be careful he doesnt get picked off quick by some of your larger fish. i think he should do fine.

LOL. ok, sorry, not to be an ass, thanks for the input but...

1) Look at the date on this thread
2) He's actually a bronze featherback knife as well as I can gather
3) He's 12" long right now
4) He's the most agressive fish in the tank.
