Brown bullhead trio

Caught these guys today in the local swimming lake with the help of a few friends, goggles, and a net and decided to keep them. One of the yellow ones used to be jet black until the ride home in a white bucket, hopefully his color will come back in the new tank..

Sweet, I want some bullhead, but they would end up as dinner in the future.

sweet fish man!! bullheads are one of the most underated fish in the world. i used them as feeders and then one got sucked up in the filter. i found him like 8 months later and he grew about 4"

They are such food hogs!! One of them managed to down an entire silverside minnow today. The other two are still in hiding for now, I've only seen them come out at night so far.

Sorry your bullhead died they really are a fun cat to have in the tank.

Some new pix from today...sadly I found the grey one dead this morning but we are going to the lake again tomorrow so I may be able to catch another one of that color.

Awesome pics. I have one of these--I agree that they're awesome, though I caught mine with a hook and rod and felt bad because I thought I stabbed out his eye...thus he became a pet.

the colors will probably change as they mature with the exception of the black one. i only know of the black, the yellow, and the brown.

and thanks, he was a cool fish. i had him in his own 270 gallon outdoor koi pond. he was a hair over 16"
