is it possible to keep a bullhead or 2 with a jag and crenicichla lepidota? I know temp. wood be an issue but maybe i could find a tampeture in the middle. (people who have read my other post on asking to get another jag im just trying to get ideas for my 120 im not making a decision yet.)

The pike might have a small problem with it at first, cause it is another long bodied fish, but itll get over it soon enough. The jag prolly wont care one way or the other.

be carefull i had brown bullheads with 2 xingu pikes and i now have only one xingu left and they were the same size as the bullheads. The two bullheads competed with the pikes for space at the bottom. They ate the pikes soft underbelly.

Bullheads have pretty big mouths and can wolf down some pretty impressive sized food. And they do have a nice set of curved, sharp teeth so whatever they catch can't escape.

ok thank you, can i keep like a group of 3 together?

They are territorial. So I don't know if you can keep that many together. You would need a good sized tank with lots of hiding spots. Smaller ones will get bullied by larger ones. Atleast that is what happens in my game fish pond outside during feeding time.

yea ill just get one then. thank you. So does anyone know what would be a good temperature to keep cichlids and a bullhead happy?
