Brown fake plants?

I have a palm tree and a big fake rock that has plants on it. I noticed that brown coloration is appearing on the leaves. It looks like a toasted marshmallow. The decor is two different companies so it's weird the same discoloration is happening. Any ideas?

Algae huh? Alright I'll try to give a rinse next time I do a water change. I also just got a bristlenose pleco will he take care of any of that?

I dont think I ever seen a pleco eat algae off fake plants, mine just ignore the plants. You could try leaving your lighting off for few days until the algae dies off...

Sounds like brown algae. Most plecos enjoy eating it. At least my bristle-nose does.

If your bristle-nose is not lazy, that algae will be gone in a matter of days (depending on bristle-nose and size of job).

Cool hopefully BJ (my bristlenose - named him BJ since he sucks on stuff....) will take care of the problem
