Brown Knifefish Growth

I've been reading the forums for awhile but this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the growth rate of a brown knifefish? I have one that is 4-5 inches.

African Brown Knife (Xenomystus Nigri) grow to an average of 8" They will prey on small fish. If your fish is 4"-5" it's not going to grow that quickly. It can grow to it's full potential in about a year.

ya they dont grow very fast at all but some i have heard when they get to full size can get a little aggresive to smaller fish.

Thanks so much. He's a real cool fish. He hides a lot but when he comes out it is awesome. I can't wait to see him eat some fish. Now I'm addicted to knifefish. I want to get a clown knife someday when I have room for a monster tank.

Knife Fish are my favorite fish. Especially the Asian varities.
