IN YOUR HEAD
I got a lotas that had some on it and I couldn't see it. Now it is taking over on all my plants and wood. I have tried rinsing all the plants and wood. I have syponed all I could see out. I have cut the bulk of it out from the plants in trimming. Yet it still comes back.

My question is how to get rid of it?

Stock, discus, rays, tetras, black aro, Cory cats, l235, and l239.

Tests read
Ammo- 0ppm
Nitrite- 0ppm
Nitrate- 10ppm never more then 20ppm

The water is also just about to black water conditions with WC of 75% once a week. Or 2 50% a week.

Also it has not spread to the 180gal linked to it. Just stays in the 125gal with the shop lights.

Thanks

Honestly, I would give it time. I've had algal blooms come and go in lots of tanks, large and small, throughout the years. Sometimes adding a variety of fish that eats algae specifically can help (e.g., rainbow cichlids eat filamentous algae), or adding some algae eating shrimp might help.

New plants won't help you because they'll come in with their own types of algae. Plus, that algae is all over everything anyway - it's not only where you see it - it's a single-celled organism. That sh*t's everywhere!!!

Also, this really looks more like some sort of bacterial colony in the photos than algae, but it's not like you can tell just by looking at it.

If your lights are old, changing to new bulbs might do the trick.

I took everything out and fully cleaned it once again. I did another massive WC to the system as well.

All bulbs are 2 months old. This came in on the lotas. I cleaned all I could find in the tank. I never had this problem before that lotas plant. I have had everything except the stock and lotas for years. Never had an issue. Also it is not in my 180gal that is linked to the tank. I am going to get another UV bulb for my oddassy 700. That is the only thing that is different aside from the one plant.
