Brownae Hap vs Haplochromis sp. "Thickskin"

No, I believe they aren't the same species. They look very similar though and brownaes are sometimes confused with the species 44. Here's a link. On part of the bottom, it talks about it a little.

I googled these pics of the brownae and found these. See how they can be easily mistakened for the sp. 44.
