For those of you that have use brute trash cans did regular bulkheads seal properly in them since they are circular or did u have to use flex bulkheads?

You can use either or but I would do bulk heads so I can allow silicone allow it for a 100 percent seal. Don't want any leaks ever on these guys.

i recommend bulkheads... the trash can will flex almost flat to make a good seal... if ur worried or for extra assurance use schedule 80 bulkheads.... ive used uniseals for years on all sorts of applications and they eventually leak on thin walled tanks/tubs... they really need 1/4" minium wall thickness to make a good seal. id also recommend 55gallon barrels over brute. they are stronger and can be had for $5-20 instead of $50 for a thinner walled can.

silicone does not adhere 2 plastic and can actually make ur bulkheads leak... the rubber gasket makes all the seal u need.
