You can try by removing the base (whatever the algae is attached to) and bleach it. If it's a plant/leaf, then you'll have to clip the plant.

Its really just on some silk plants and i tried the bleach method this week but it really only bleached the algea, its not coming away from the silk plant. I can remove it easily from the bogwod with the aid of the power washer. I just wondered if anyone had had success with maybe some chemical that I can add to the tank.
