I just got rid of the wolf I had with my 6" Elong, as it statred getting a little crazy.....wondering now about a Brycon...LFS has them, and I was curious, thanks

nope, unless you have a HUGE tank.
if you want to keep a community of fish than piranhas aren't really your thing, unless you consider the rest of the fish feeders or your piranha as feeder in some cases.

Isn't an Elong one of the meanest of P's?

Just to be safe, Id keep all of my P's with P's only. That way you have lots of PP's together!

No death of innocent bystanders!

You know what i mean??? LOL

only some species can be kept together. Pygocentus species will shoal, as well as a few species of other piranhas.

yeah, I hear ya...the Elong just took half the Brycon's tail......

that's how it starts. If he's not out of there in the next say 24 hours he's gonna lose a lot more than his tale.

no can do, the elong will nip nip nip. had a birchir with my elong for 3 years. kept eating the fins every time they grew back.

since P's can only be kept as lone species with exception of pygos for most part (which are skiddish to the point of annoyance in most cases), imo elongs and rhoms are most rewarding. you can try a small ray may be, something i was considering with my elong later.

a teacup ray is a hell of an expensive feeder...and a shame.
