I was thinking about getting a Brycon dentrex for my 180g. My current tankmates-4 widebar dats ranging from 3"-12", 1 short bodied sun catfish, 6 red hooks, 2 silver dollars, a FRT, a sturio catfish, 1 NGT (might add another one soon) and a indo datnoide that is about 4". My question is, if i put 1-2 brycon in there, would it be a issue? i heard about them having aggression but i have seen dorados even in community tanks. So do you guys think it would work?

The reason i have so many fish in my 180g right now is because i am currently building a 7' long by 4' wide by 3' tall.

Well if it will end up in the 7,4,3 then i don't see any problems.

just go with one and it might beat on your silver dollars but the rest should be fine and if you have a bigger tank for it then go for it

Off topic I know, but where did you find the sturio cat?

Just get one, they beat the snot out of each other in small numbers. Follow the same mindset as you would with exodons - get alot or just get one.

I got the sturio cat from LFS. I guess i will just get 1.
