Not sure if anyone's as interested in this as I am. I thought this would never happen. One of the greatest boxers in recent years vs one of the best muay thai fighters of all time. They'll be fighting under boxing rules; 8 rounds, 2 minutes each.
Buakaw is a monster, but under boxing rules he'll lose, just as Manny would lose in a muay thai fight. Either way Buakaw is tough and it should make a very entertaining fight for the king of Thailands' 85th birthday. I got socks for my last birthday:irked:.

Dude looks like a beast,I've never heard of him so thanks for the info...I would like to see the fight but I'm guessing HBO will not be touching this....
 
It says it will be broadcast in 177 countries on TV. I would imagine any TV station that can pick this up will air it because of Mannys' star power alone. At least I'm hoping so...

Most likely a political stunt to improve Thailand and Philippines' relationship or something

Either would kill the other in their own sport. Buakaw is highly regarded in the muay Thai world. It hurts to watch him kick the pads.

That was my first impression too, but I think Buakaw has too much pride to take a dive, especially in front of his king, and if Manny loses, he will never live it down in the boxing community.

I hope it's not a "fake" fight. That would be very disappointing.
 
Has to be fake. Pac's fighting juan manuel marquez dec 8. So pac would be training to fight two people in one month. No way's that real

They'll probably put on a show ending with a draw or something
