We got one of these yesterday... Our water tested fine...maybe a tad low gravity. He has moved around quite a bit, and has now retreated into the dark under rocks. We do not think this is normal
Its normal when first introduced. What its trying to do is find a spot that is suitable for it. Just give it some time and it should find a spot it likes. Just so you know they require strong lighting and medium to high flow.
Well, it went behind the rocks and died... which really bums me out. It's the first thing I have lost in the tank. I think I was too early getting a delicate life form. I thinmk the tank is too immature. I got it out right away, and everything else in the tank seems fine. It will be a while before we get another one I think. Lighting is a 6500k 50/50 reef bulb. I have a coralife fixture that I haven't got up and going yet. Suppose I should invest in the bulbs for it.
