Hey Guys/girls,
Just a quick question for ya. I purchased two bubble disk for my tank and cannot seem to get them to lay flat. When I turn the air on they turn on there sides. Wondering if any of you have came up with a solution to this? It is a Ray tank so there is no gravel (little sand only) in the tank to help secure it down. I was thinking of gluing something to the bottom to add weight, just cannot think of something safe that weighs enough to do this. Thanks for any suggestions. I also apologize for such a dumb 1st post.lol

Welcome to MFK!!

Glue some suciton cups to the bottom , or double sided suction cups. I got mine to lay flat after having them for a while. Why not hang them on the back of the tank so they lay flat on the backside of the tank? Or get a small slab of rock or wood.

Maybe a bubble wand would have worked better. Could try silicone but then youd have to empty it..without any gravle or logs it seems tough

I would say to add some weight on top.. maybe a few large rocks around the bubble disk.. to weight it down.. Are these the ones from petsmart? cuz i would think are heavy enough to stay flat unless you have a extremely powerful airpump until...

Bubble wands are worse than bubble disks. The longer the bubble wand and it also depends on your airpump, the less likely the full length of it will eject air out. There's one suggested from Marineland though that you might try.

:welcome: to MFK!

Thanks for the reply's . I will try all the ideas but I think the suction cup method may work the best for me. Thanks again for the ideas. Rick

Thats not a bad idea , though the sticky stuff could ruin the tank water. It also may lift after time. Thats something you would have to look into.
I agree. You'd have to empty the tank and dry it before you can stick it.lol
