ok, thank you sir. i need anther power head. btw where do you place ur powerheads. i currently have mine at 3/4 to the top of the tank. should i lower it to ground level?Deaths Sting;2794444; said:it could be there's a lot of reasons for $hit to build up on the surface..
I have 2 Motoros
my tank has:
1200 GPH powerhead
High pressure sprayer bar
and 1 Hydor light/Aerator
= crazy rapid water movement on the surface! like a river! kinda like where Motoros live![]()

Deaths Sting;2794381; said:few bubbles yes, foam no. you need something to break the surface of the water. i.e. powerhead, protein skimmers, or a sprayer bar. more dissolved oxygen will be the result.
also foam is ugly and can start to smell!
