i run a wet dry and a penguin 350 biowheel and i have a million tiny bubbles in my tank. ive been out of town so i havent had any time to find the problem or solution. anyone else have the bubbles problem. how did you fix it?

i have a bubble problem with my protein skimmer... but if i reduce the bubbles it deafeats the protein skimmer...

got a pump with a venturi? that causes tons of bubbles

Check the sump in the wet/dry. If it pumps out faster than the water coming into the w/d you'll get lots of bubbles in your tank.

If thats the case, the water level would be lower than the pump, and it would be sucking in air...basically what happens if enough water evaporates. I think the most likely cause is bubbles are being created in the W/D and then diced into tiny bubbles by the pump.

the water level is fine in my wet/dry. obviously that would be the first thing i checked. i turned off my filters one at a time and didnt notice either helping. i am going to do my water change tomorrow and work on it and see what i can do. in the meantime suggestions will continue to help.

Tiny bubbles take forever to disappear. Turning the source of them off for a few minutes probably wouldn't make much of a difference.

Are you a running protein skimmer on a fresh or salt water tank.
