I recently purchased an Odyssea cfs500 to filter the water in my RES tank. The Filter still has air in it, I don't know how to get it all out but there is swooshing noise of water all the time. It does blow out small bubbles and I was wondering are these surface bubbles the same ones that are being blown out of the filter? Or something else. Here is a link to a short video of the bubbles.

Thanks.

ps, Its just one RES in the tank.

The bubbles may be caused by the filter, but there would have to be something in the water to cause them to stay on the surface in clumps like that instead of just dispersing. I would try doing a couple big water changes to see if they start to clear up

Have you been washing your hands with soap before you clean the tank? Looks like it.....
