Hey, I just looked at my sand in my 65 gallon SW and I saw allot of little bubbles on it. I looked it up and I think it may be nitrogen bubbles but im not sure. I use 100% caribsea live sand and I have live and base rock in my tank. :feedback:

can you give me some more information about your setup how long has it been up and running and the bubbles are on the surface of the sand not in it? also what equipment you have on the tank?

Hey, my setup is a redsea max 250 with all stock items. It has been running for roughly 3-4 months i clean the p skimmer every 2-3 days and the bubbles are at the surface. Thanks for taking interest.:headbang2

okay the bubbles are on the surface of the sand so it sounds like your skimmer may be releasing these into system or a powerhead do u notice any of them giving off bubbles themselves? Did you do a break in period with your skimmer?
