bubbles

ok somedays my pond is COVERED in bubbles on top. why is this? i try scooping them out, it never ends lol. also why do my goldfish try to jump up stream? i got a 2500 gallon pond and a creek/stream that goes 50 ft up hill to another pond, and they keep trying to jump up and get into the stream. I assume they just like the strong current? thanks in advance

the bubbles are most likely from something in your filtration.
fish instinctively swim against currents.

ok someone told me bubbles can mean that frogs are breeding or fish are breeding or fish are stressed. i have no idea though. maybe i should add that they only form real bad when both my pumps are on in my stream.

I have heard that bubbles form when there is not enough oxygen. Dunno tho

I doubt it's lack of oxygen though. I have 4 pumps all shooting water into the pond. The current from the stream is very strong when it hits. And theres only 20 fish in the 2500 gallon pond. And only 2 are adults.

What's the water params?

Bubbles form and stay when there is a high surface tension.

Added that the fish may be trying to escape, and I think you should look more closely at the water (in the pond).

Are they brownish in color? Like what you see in a protein skimmer.

no they are white/clear bubbles. the fish seem to being ok. they are swimming like normal and eating fine.
