Actually, I've kept 8 of the aro types listed. (Keep in mind, I've been keeping fish since before there were restricted species lists anywhere).

Well done, what happened to them, most live for 60 years correct?

I've kept silver, jar and banja red, all sold at around the 15-16" mark...

Lucky enough to live in the UK, the only cool species I'm aware of being illegal here is channa argus.

Let's see, ...in 53 years of keeping fish, My breeding pair of silvers were sold, the jar and black aros committed airborne suicide, the 2 green asian aros (1 was more of a blue-phase morph) were banned and fed to some big catfish I had, the lei and afaro were the most recent aros sold off. I had a red that was supposed to be destroyed but, sold it when the ban was supposed to go into effect.

Wish I had the drive to keep at least 1 big fish long-term... I'm a nightmare, forever buying and selling.
