I am gravel vacuuming and i am using a 5 gallon bucket to siphon the water into. This bucket has been used numerous times for holding car wash soap, so is there any way i can clean it to make it safe to hold water that will be going back into my tank????? Thank you sooo much.

Grocery store bakery and deli departments are another good place to look. They get buckets full of frosting, fruit filling etc... Just ask them to save you a few. They even come with tops. Just wash them out real good with hot water.
Personally, I think $5 for a stupid bucket is robbery, especially when you can get them for free.

I think that you should get yourself a Python hose and make waterchanges easier on yourself. Oh, and this will alos eliminate the dilema of which bucket to use

Couldn't agree more......Once i bought a Python i won't even think of using buckets again.........makes water changes SOOOO much easier..........
