Has anyone ever keep bucktooth tertas . i mean i read up on the them. but I want to know from someone who has keep them

They're kind like big Buenos Aires tetras...Not hard to keep, nice colors when they're in good shape. I usually fed them lots of bugs, as watching them slowly whittle the scales and fins off feeders is rather gruesome and unecessary.

Not much that goes well with them...and who ever said Exodons are good with piranhas needs clubbing. : ) Either a) they harrass the piranha and eat their scales, or b) the piranha eventually eat them (and yes we tried this).

I did see some Exodons kept with Red Bellies at a public aquarium, however, it was a very big and deep tank and the Exodons stayed near the surface. They were the largest I have ever seen, close to 4 or 5 inches. The tank was likely over 1000 gallons. Did not see any interaction between the two, but this would be unlikely in a home aquarium.

Funnily enough, I've seen pictures of inside the mouths of Exodun Paradoxus and there are no teeth wat so ever. More or so like an old fart without teeth.

Thesae are also called exodons, if you do a forum search for the name exodon you will find a lot of info. They have been reported as large as 6"tl but 4" is more common.
