Hey MFK,
Looking for suggestions for a good budget LED strip for low-med light plants like valisneria, water wisteria, cryptocorynes. Setting up a 36" low-tech planted, and want something that isn't going to break the bank.

I know beamswork makes good LED's, but not sure how the PAR and spectrum are for plants. I was looking at this-
https://www.amazon.com/Beamswork-FS...-8-spons&keywords=beamswork+planted+led&psc=1

Anybody have first hand experience with this fixture? Or any recommendations in the 50 dollar range for a 36" LED?
Thanks

I like my 48" Fluval Western Sky LED strip. I think it cost about $85 at Petco. I'm sure the 36" strip cost less.
It's got pre-programed light settings, including thunderstorm lightning pulses, Several Lunar settings as well as the ability to custom program personal settings.

I actually own that light, have it on my high tech planted 45gal which is at my parents' house.
I was just hoping for something a little cheaper, the 36" version is 91$. I want a 36" fixture, not smaller, for aesthetic reasons

Finnex makes the stingray and it’s fairly adorable. I personally have the small clip version and have very good results with it. I’m in the process of setting up a 29 and I think Im going with the stingray on that tank.

I'm looking at getting the 72'' Beamswork da fspec for my 125, i think theplantedtanknet has information on par values for that Beamsworks light. Try searching "beamswork da fspec par". First result was for theplantedtanknet. I haven't posted enough to be able to add links, sorry.

That’s the light I have on one of my tanks. It does a good job. I had to cut my hours of light down to stop an algae problem.

Thanks, decided to just use a marineland LED fixture I have already for now and see if I get decent growth. It's not the most high powered marina option, so if results are not great, the beamswork would be a nice upgrade.
