What temp do you keep the water at? I've heard that they need to have a dormancy period and they have to make a cacoon otherwise they will die. So you might want to let your frog do that in the winter ie bury himself etc.

It's a Budgett's Frog. As far as the hibernation thing, they only do that with the dry season due to the lack of water. I've had him for about 2 years now with no problems.
I keep him at room temp, and he seems to love it.
