My house
I need to bomb my house for bugs. I think they maybe migrating inside due to the cold climate b/c my house is not messy. I have noticed a few...bugs (twitch) and I cannot deal with that idea.

Can I bomb the house with the tanks intact? Maybe cover them with Glad Press n' Seal and a few blankets? I do not drive and therefor cannot temporarily move the tanks to another house.

I did it one and you definetly have to find the best way to seal it becuose water absorbs smoke and air born chemicals, i use larg pease of plastic like the one you can use as drop clot wen painting wit painters tape to seal it and a tick blanket over that., ancoverd the tank two days after the bomb just o be safe.

I covered mine when we flea bombed the house. Just make sure that there is enough oxygen in the water. Run a bubbler, and I turned off my heater because the bag keeps the heat in.

Might not want to run the bubbler. That will just pump the outside air (smoke) into the tank. Think you only have to stay out of the house for like 6 or 8 hours with those bombs, so if you have a canister or HOB filter creating surface movement and seal the top of the tank up well, you should be fine.

I was thinking that would be the case...I mean after all the bubbler pulls air from outside the tank and does not have a air filter.

if your tanks near a window you can put your air pump outside.
Ah good idea. well my butti didnt die, maybe its cause they are used to nasty water conditions

It's pretty cold outside, 36 degrees at the moment to be precise. I keep a Senegal Bichir. Subsequently, I try to keep my tank at a constant 82 degrees.

Wouldn't the cold air from outside shock my fish and possibly kill them?

You have to make sure you aren't trapping any of the bugs under your plastic or your bug bombing will be for naught. I removed my fish from my house before I sprayed it this summer.

I had to bomb my house twice for flea's (a roommates new dog brought them in, I was very unhappy).

All I did was cover the tops of the tank with a heavy blanket before setting the bomb off, and left it on until the next day. I covered 3 tanks this way, and didn't see any problems with water quality afterward, and no fish died.
