Bugs in the w/d filter??

I have a W/D set up in a stacked plastic cabinet form . it goes like this

Prefilter(floss,stuff like that)
Scrubbies for bactiria
Sump with pump

wel yesterday i opened the 1st drawer and saw like 20+ little mini flies in ther . there were not reg flies but really small . any expiriences?? how to get rid of them??sorry i cant find my digital cam.

make lid tighter,my guess is they wont hurt anything.they are just eating all the crap that is collecting in the scrubbies and stuff.

I had little gnats congregating in my sump return area and breeding. I just put a few dwarf gouramis and chinese algae eaters in there. They took care of the larvae and anything else. If they're out in the bio chambers, I dunno what to tell ya .

i had a big cockroach in my sump for about a month, then i drowned him lol
