thinking about building a big tank maybe 1500 but hopefully 2.5k.

hopefully i will be doing this because we are remodling are garage some time, i have no clue grandparents change there mind every 2 seconds.

anyway i was wondering if anyone had any pointers on something like this
i was thinking demensions like
12'L x 5-6'W x 3-4'T so what ever that comes out to be.

anyway i plan on using my 210 to make a wet dry for it, with the added 3-4 FX5's and other means of filtration i can think of.

but for planning wise I pretty much allready thought about that

im deffinatly going to have a GATF in it and deffinatly going to have atleast 1-2 aramatus as well. As for other stock probably more ATFs like vittus or brevis or whatever and other payara like red tails or scombs and then the rest will be dither like large tinfoils and silver dollars.

I plan on making the tank out of wood so if my grand parents decide to move i can take it down and hopefully bring it with me. and i was planning on using glass instead of acrylic for a veiwing window.

anyway let me know what you pros think and what i should do[glass thinckness/tank design etc...]

Personally, I think you should cut down on how tall you want it to be. I'm a big fan of low wide+long tanks, so maybe I'm biased, but I think the standard 24'' tall would be plenty, and then just make it wider to make up for it. Kinda like a giant breeder-tank footprint. Plus, syphoning waste in a 3-4' tall tank would be hell, I think.

i dont have that much room in my garage
and i think it would be harder to syphon with a wider tank rather than a taller tank
