Building a chinchilla cage

Anyone done it or have any ideas?? I want to make my GF's chin a nicer home. His current one is ok, but he needs out to play time daily and with my shifts and her fear of catching him (afraid she will hurt the little guy) she doesnt let him out. They chew on EVERYTHING so I havnt a clue what to make him a home out of.

Wants
3 levels MINIMUM
4 foot length, 2.5 foot width min
Height is irrelevent (under 7ft that is)
Room for him to play and a lady friend

Anyone got any ideas?

I'm a little disappointed I came here to find out how to build a chinchilla.

Maybe an old wardrobe. Take the doors open and replace them with glass sliding doors. Then just add shelves.

Dust baths are epic to watch. Pretty sure this guy is addicted to cocaine but he is awesome. Super fast running around.
