Hello,

I just purchased a 220Gallon Glass Tank and can't wait to get it up and running, but I am going to build a Custom Stand for it. I was hoping people would be able to give me some advice pertaining to the overall structure. I want something that is going to be stable and not collapse. Also, size of boards would be great too.

Thanks

I would probably use 2x6's for the top frame just be safe. Check out my 180 build and you'll find a link (JUST CLICK HERE) to the build log of the Stand. Build it like that. You may not have to go as "beefy" as I built mine. I was told that it was a little overkill.

Just click the link in my signature and you will see the one i'm working on for my 180 now. Might give you some ideals.

That wood grain is a cool idea! I did the same thing for the Deck I built off theBack of my addition! Nice! Plywood trick was cool as well!

Here is what I have so far. It will have a tower on the right side of the stand with a glass door to hold receivers, dvd player, and consoles. This is going to go dead center in my living room so in oder to get that accomplished I had to sweeten the deal for the wife lol. So it will be kinda like an entertainment center/Fish Tank Thanks for the Ideas. .

Do you have a link to your site or pics?

Momma is 5 (30" at the shoulder and 160lbs). The oldest boy is 3 (32" at the shoulder and 165-170lbs) and the Brother (33"+ at the shoulder and 210lbs+) and sister [litter mates] (She's about 30" at the shoulder and is about 170lbs.) are 2 years old... Majority of Grenier Hall Lineage... Some Skamania in the 2 youngest. Nice Blocky heads, deep chest wide bodies. Nice toplines, angulation, tail length and set. Pigment on muzzle and ears could be a bit better. Tight feet, large Bone on the 2 youngest, decent on Momma and oldest boy. but Very large bone in parents and grandparents. Hoping to show more again this year and get them finished. All but one have 3+ points so far.

But we have 3.5year old and 9 month old children... So it's been kind of on hold.....

Momma is my avatar pic...
