Building a DIY tank

Hello everyone just a quick question. I am thinking about building my own tank but would like to keep it as cheap as possible.I would like to build a tank to be around 200 gallons or more. Has anyone out there made their own tanks? If so where did you get your supplies is it easy enough to do?

Lots build plywood tanks, but you can also build acrylic and glass. You might be better off going through your local Craigslist though. That’s where I got my 220 for $400.

There's loads of tutorials on line for plywood, glass and acrylic builds. A lot depends on your confidence in your diy skills, after all, whichever route you go it will need to be right, first time. No wiggle room for mistakes in the tank building game.

If you are confident, go for it. If not, then have a look at the classified ads for aquariums as fish tank travis said. Lots of good deals to be had.
