Building a home for 3 pacu

What size (in feet) tank should I look for? 9x3x3 is the BIGGEST we can fit, though I want to pull for a 7x4x4 or 7x3x3 as they would be a bit cheaper to make. Like £600 cheaper then a 8x3x3 etc.

I think a 7xx4x4 would be better as they'd have more width to turn around in.

my husband just informed me he wants a 9x4x4 foot and is expecting a work bonus. lol.

Any thoughts on putting adult clown loaches in with them?

The loaches should be fine, I keep clown loaches with mine.

I thought about building my own with pond liner, but mine are serious chewers! They eat anything that goes in.

That will make a great tank, 9x4x4, why not have a few big ccichlids and barbs in there aswell.
