I am having no luck in buying a tank around 300 gallons in Las Vegas. Every place I find are all online. I could be looking at close to 2,500 dollars plus shipping. I am curios to know if building my own would be much cheaper and how difficult it would be. I could always go larger then 300 gallons which I would like to but it all depends on how much money this will cost. I have around a 1,200 dollar budget from scratch to completely filled filtered and on a stand. I would love any help you can give me. Thank you

anything you build from scratch is cheaper 300-350 gallons with the price of wood glass and tools probably around $400-$500

I really want to make my own, I do not know the dimensions, thickness of glass, or filtrations requirements. What would you recommend for all of these including the type of glass

if you want a long tank here are some good dimensions 96X30X25 also if you really wanna be a high roller theres a type of glass (its on the tip of my tongue but i jsut cant remember the name) that is really expensive but is SUPER clear, I think it starts with fire or crystal

Price acrylic and glass in your immediate area frst, then surrounding areas... find the cheapest place, then go from there...

Here is an idea of what you could create if you look around for a good price on materials.... Just under $1200 for tank, filter and all lids for filter and tank. fits your budget perfect
