Will build a new long term aquarium for my community tank. Please help recommend the suitable size.
1 senegal bichir
1 ornate bichir
1 synodontis
3 clown loaches ( will add 2 more )
1 green terror
1 golden severum
1 jurus
1 oscar
2 ocellaris
1 florida gar
3 indo datnoid
1 rtg arowana
Will get aquarium done soon so can cycle it asap.

So i think ill just make it in 80 × 30 × 30 (inch). Thats fair enough for the stock. Now need to think how the filter should be done.

30" is only 2.5ft wide. Don't you think that would be too narrow for a arowana and a Gar? I do agree with the sump given it will be slightly over 300 gal.

3 foot wide minimum, and with that stock list the bigger the better, if it's even alittle overcrowded there could be some serious aggression

So 80L × 36W × 30H would be the minimum. They havent show any agression yet coz they still young. Biggest is rtg 11" > gar 7" > tiger 5" > oscar/gt 4"

I don't have experience with all those fish, but the dats may bully each other, but if there will be other smaller fish, ie the sev and the Oscar, then they may help spread the aggression
