Building a ray pond

I am building stand alone ray pond. The dimentions of the actual pond ar going to be 5'x3'x1.5' and about 170 gallons, my question is, will this be good for life for my motoro? Can I get a 2nd ray?

Eric L i think not...... look at my pond and thats what you need.. 5ft wide 2ft deep and 7 ft long you should be ok.... look at my post to find my pond. i have to go bigger in 3 years for my tigers and flower rays... im going to builded my new house around my rays something like tyson has but indoors....good luck.

If your gonna do it...do it once and bigger than you want...because afterwards you will be mad that you didnt.....bigger is better in this case here!

so not even good enough for one motoro? or are you guys talking about 2. I have checked out all the ray ponds I could find on this site but unfortunatly my limits for this project are an area thats about 5' 8" by 3' 9". I could maybe go 2 feet deep but thats about it.

You could do a pair, but bigger is always better.....

do what you can on size.....if the rays get to big sell and get smaller ones.

It will do just fine. I have bred my pair in a smaller tank. Go for it!
