Im deffinatly looking into building a saltwater ray pond by sept this year in my garage and i am doing some research i have some questions and any other input would be great
1...whats a hardy stingray i can start with?
2...would it be a good idea to put a uv sterilizer on the pond?
3...whats the min gals i should build..i was thinking 1000 to 1500 but i wanna do something where i wouldnt want to upgrade
4...any specific pond liner i should use?

any other things you wanna throw in i would apreciate it and any websites i can do some good research on

A lot of rays woud outgrow even a 1500. Theres maybe 6 standard smaller rays. Round rays being moderately hardy. I really wouldnt call any ray "hardy". They can be pretty delicate. But two things to keep in mind, a pond liner and a stingray barb are a dangerous combo. And putting rays in the pond will make maintenance difficult because if you have to get into the pond, which i find myself doing quite often in my shark pool, you have to be very wary of where the rays are at at all times. You wouldnt want to step on one.

For ideas refer to my new shark pool thread. You could use the same concept for rays. If i was going to do just rays though i would use a hard plastic stock tank. Just my opinion though.
