Just wanted to know what kind of media should i use, i am making a rubbermaid setup with the 3 drawer system i already drilled most of my holes already i was thinking floss, carbon, scrubies or bio balls. In that order pretty much. i am making a diy overflow with the specimen boxes and from there i am running a 1 inch pvc all the way down to my rubbermaid 3 drawer that is gonna sit in a 36 gallon i believe rubbermaid tote. and it gonna be pushed back up by a 1300gph pump should prolly be around 700-800 gph after head loss and all that just want to know what kind of media is used most common, and maybe suggestions as to what would be best. i currently have a oscar and a pelco with some feeder fish in it right now im just looking for some good clean, clear water and i figure since its all going in a 55 gallon setup that it should hold it over for a while and thanks in advance.

I would go scrubbies, floss, small lava rock. I like lava rock for my bio and i would use the scrubbies more as a prefilter to the filter floss so it doesn't get clogged up to fast.

Alright well that sounds good then, i still have to wait for all the stuff to come in i was just seeing what would be my best bet, so thanks :D and if you think of anything else just let me know of know of others who would have suggestions the more the better

Great setup there.

Just remember to replace the floss regularly.
Add carbon only when the tank has colour/odours. else fill it with bio medias
