i was thinking of trying to build a tank. starting out small like a 10 or 20 gallon. and eventually building a much bigger tank. just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what type of material would be best and how thick it should be. or if anyone has done this please give some pointers and tips. i have been tossing this idea around for a while. just want to get some feed back and some ideas from MFKs. thanks everyone

i would suggest building a plywood tank with one glass window. i have been considering getting a 10 gallon because of the cheap glass and then making a plywood tank with three windows made from the bottom and sides of the 10 gallon.

what would i use to brace the plywood, cover the plywood to make it fish friendly. and how would i sink the viewing windows into the plywood. i have been looking on here and plywood with viewing windows seems to be the way to go. i just dont know how to go about it. please keep the comments comming.

is there something that i can coat the plywood with to make it water proof and fish friendly.

thanks hayden i just got off the site garf.com and i got everything i needed. thanks everyone for the comments. i was going to start out small but i am going to build a 95 gallon. hopefully very soon. i have to draw up some plans and get some plywood. thanks
