I have a 75 gal. tank i am trying to find out what would be the best gph's for the sump pump? I also need to know how to determine the size of the drain hole and hose sizes from the tank to the W/D Filter? If someone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Will it be your only filter? Sw/fw? I agree 700-1000gph from the info we have (not much).

Does your tank already have a drain/overflow? If so, that's the size you've got to use and may limit how big of a pump you use. The hoses need to be the same size as the bulkheads for the drains.. If you're making pvc durso pipes then two 3/4" should do.

Also need to know the bio-load.

If your tanks not drilled or you need more flow you can use one of these too:
