Don't decide on a substrate until you do your research and it's stingray safe.. It could be a headache removing an enermous amount of Silica sand!

ditto both

Dont know how im going to bulid it yet, thats why i need as many tips and tricks as i can get. But it will probably be concrete blocks or somthing in that line. In not using pond liner, i want to have a front of glass. So i can view the fish from the front as well as from above.

Thats mabye a good solution, at least its a lot easier tha using fibreglass and epoxy.

Have anyone done this? The pond liner method? Is it a good solution?

That could be a good soulution, at least its more simple than the fibreglass or and epoxy method.

Have you/anyone used pod liner for this? Is it a good solution? Any down sides?

I would have concrete sides and backs with a glass veiwing window. You can then use the fibre glass to create a natural looking backing. I have seen it done this way but on an even larger scale.

Thats if $$ is not an issue...
