I was going to build a 15' by 8' by 2 or 3' deep for my rtc and paroon shark. My question is, does anyone have the steps for doing something like this? Any appoximate ideas on cos and equiptment? I'd unfortunatly need to run electricity out...:(
Thanks for any help.

what are you planning on building it out of?
cheapest would probably be to get an above ground swimming pool.
then just put you heaters and such in the sump of your filter.

I have no idea. My mom wants "something cheap that looks nice"
I really don't care what the pond looks like, as long as it's fine for the rtc and paroon. haha. She says she's going to put koi in with the catfish. She doesn't think two excessivly large predatory cats will eat Koi. lol

Something that would look nicer than a a plastic pool would be lumber construction with a heavy pond liner and a nicer grade wood for the outside finish. Electricity would run underground through a pvc pipe and go right to your fusebox. An independent fuse would be best. If you build shelving into the interior part of the pond you can cover a lot of the liner with rocks and gravel. For a permanent structure, I think this kind of construction looks better than a pool. You can probably find a lot of plans for this also, most likely on this site.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. She doesn't like the wood look though. So picky. :P

He's got an older one just search by he name.

There are several others too.

If your going to keep your Mom happy and the koi alive go atleasy 3ft deep and go wide too, it will keep them in their own territories.

She just doesn't thin the rtc will eat koi. Where can I get a good pond heater?
