I am interested in all the info you can give me on how to build a 200+ gallon tank, stand, filtration, everything I need to get it up and running for my fish. Not sure what I want to put in it yet even, but all the fish I really like grow to be much larger than the tanks I have right now. I have found information on how to build the tanks, but if anyone has input on the following it would really help:

epoxy paint - what is the cheapest way to do this?
tank size - is it better to do the 6 foot now or just go for the 7 foot and not have to upgrade for awhile
stand - how do I make one that can hole that much weight
filtration - no way I can fit enough emperors on it to filter that much, what do I do?
glass or plexi - mostly which is cheaper, but what is the difference?

I do have fish, so I'm not a complete idiot, but I don't have BIG fish, so thanks in advance for your input on this project!

Sweet water epoxy works good, you can find a lot of plans for stands and wet/dry(w/d) filters on here if you search for them. Look at the stickys under the DIY section, they should help a lot. Glass is usually cheaper than acrylic, but acrylic is stronger, but it also scratches. I'll leave the rest up to the DIY experts on this site...
