So I'm considering trying to build some of my own decorations. I was wondering; what are safe materials to use or how can I make them safe. Soda bottle plastic, wood not yet treated, concrete, or something lighter but formable like it?

Well I got some old coral from my parents tank that's been in storage for like 20+ years so I'm not doing it now but I'd still like to hear some input.

This needs a bump. Really don't want to try something and it end up being bad for the fish.

Anything that doesn't leech stuff into the water. Coral will probably harden your water. Wood will rot eventually. Plastic is fine

for gluing if you plan to 100% silicone, same as you would use to reseal a tank. also a hot glue gun that takes plastic sticks will work also.

Ya coral is gone, fish kept cutting themselves on it... Any recommendations for like cave construction? Kinda tired of piecing together rocks.
