Im making a nano and was wondering how thick i need the sheets of acrylic to work with the size tank i want.

And is there any special way to sillicone the sheets of acrylic togeather?
For example, heres a diagram of what i think will work best.

(PHOTOBUCKET IS DOWN ATM)

The measurments are:
14" Wide X 14" Deep X 10" Wide

Also, how many gallons do you think it will hold?

----------------------

And...do you think it would be a good idea if i went out and pulled apart a cracked 20gal and cut the good glass down to the size i want? And how would i get the corners to not be sharp?

TO get the corners not sharp, You will have to router them. Instead of silicone ( which is stronger than acrylic cement but will have to be replaced in 2 years) Try using acrylic cement # 14. that tank is around 8 gallons if im correct. And a tank that size you would have to use 1/4" acrylic

Not bad. Now i gotta figure out how to make the edges look nice, rather then abunch of sheets glued togeather.

Thanks for the help
