I was thinking of building a 6x3x2 wide tank in my room, then i talked to the a guy and sais that its too heavy for the floor. I really want to make it in this room. after that i was thinking of making a 6x3x1 so that it would weigh half but still have the same footprint, but i think it would look funny and limit me a lot in the choice of fish. Any solutions guys?

Instead of guessing, why don't you ask a builder or someone professionally qualified to inspect you floor and get his advice? At least it will put your mind at rest once and for all.

thats who i contacted

If you contacted an engineer they should be able to talk to you about reinforcing the floor (which may not be an option) or advise you where to place a smaller tank.

Hello; Do you own the house? If not then the owner needs to be consulted? Also very good renters insurance.
